At COP29, 65 countries endorsed the Global Energy Storage and Grid Pledge, committing to a sixfold increase in ESS capacity by 2030 and major grid upgrades. Yet deployment momentum has not accelerated as expected, with policy uncertainty, slow regulatory harmonization, and investment risks contributing to hesitation. This roundtable will examine national-level implementation challenges and best practices, and explore policy, finance, and technology coordination strategies to accelerate large-scale ESS deployment and investment.\n
