Physical Climate Risk Analysis and Projection, Extreme event forecasting and early warning–based disaster risk management

About Us

Dr. Hannah Myoung is a Senior Research Fellow specializing in the scientific and quantitative assessment of physical risks associated with climate change, with strong expertise in Atmospheric Sciences and extensive interdisciplinary research experience across drought, wildfire, and agricultural productivity. Her research focuses on developing systematic climate risk modeling frameworks that integrate the physical mechanisms and statistical characteristics of major climate hazards, including tropical cyclones, floods, heatwaves, wildfires, and landslides. Through physically based and data-driven approaches, she supports mid- to long-term disaster risk management strategies and evidence-based policy decision-making in the era of climate crisis.
