[Event Highlights]

On April 21, a seminar titled “Policy and Investment Strategies for the Clean Transition of Petrochemical Complexes” was successfully concluded in Yeosu.

The session focused on region-specific transition strategies and investment roadmaps, particularly for the Yeosu industrial complex undergoing structural transformation.

Key discussions highlighted the importance of electrification-based process transitions, including e-furnaces and industrial heat pumps, as well as expanding the use of renewable energy.

Participants also addressed strategies for renewable-based power supply, the role of distributed energy zones, and the need for proactive responses to the potential expansion of CBAM.
